CHARACTERISTICS
CS Prep & Scuff is a paint abrasive and natural degreaser combination in gel form. Prep & Scuff patented formulation features these benefits: · Increases the cutting efficiency of scuff pads an average of 64% · Unique abrasive mineral cuts a keyway to “lock in” primer and paint coatings · Increases adhesion over scuff pads alone an average of 41% · Will not show scratches in light color metallic blend areas · Does not damage sensitive trim (when used alone or with a stiff brush) · Allows abrasion in hard to reach areas (door handles, lock bezels, drip rails) · Reduces total VOC output by eliminating the initial degreasing step · Will not leave adhesion compromising residue
APPLICATION
CS Prep & Scuff is for efficient and economical surface degreasing and abrasion relating to paint refinishing.Prep & Scuff is normally used in conjunction with a Scuff pad, this combination significantly increases the abrasive properties over the pad alone.Additionally, Prep & Scuff has been designed to eliminate the initial degreasing of panels before the start of the refinish process (pre-prime). To reduce the possibility of an adhesion failure, use Prep & Scuff in combination with a stiff brush to clean and abrade around locks, moldings, bezels and all other areas that have limited access.

HANDLING
Instructions must be followed to ensure proper adhesion Instruction · Blow all loose dirt and repair residue from the surface of the vehicle (wash if necessary).
· Apply one ounce (per panel to be prepped) of Prep & Scuff to a scuff pad or directly to the panel to be prepped, scuff panel much in the same way you would with a scuff pad alone. Do not let panel dry. · Prep & Scuff speed will be very apparent on larger more time consuming panels such as hoods and roofs. · Rinse panel thoroughly with water. If panel has completely dried before rinsing, it may be necessary to wipe panel with hand/cloth and water to completely remove dried dirt/paint/abrasive slurry. · In or around hard to access areas, use a stiff (detail) brush and Prep & Scuff to abrade and clean dirt from crevices. Rinse thoroughly. · Continue paint process as normal.
