DINITROL 440 Protection against scraping of vehicle bodies (grey)
Characteristics:
DINITROL 440 is a permanent body protection against abrasion and corrosion based on rubber, synthetic materials and synthetic resin with the possibility of repainting. It also exhibits anti-corrosion properties. It forms a distinctly plastic and rough surface structure (according to the spraying parameters). It does not contain any aggressive solvents and is compatible with PVC undercarriage protection. After drying, the resulting black layer is also resistant to cold cleaners. Due to its properties, DINITROL 440 is especially suitable for long-term protection of vehicle chassis, undercarriage, lower parts of door sills and spoilers, etc., i.e. wherever a coarser surface structure is used. DINITROL 440 is also an excellent soundproofing agent for interior vehicle spaces such as luggage compartment, engine compartment, etc., i.e. where bitumen products are undesirable.
Area of application:
DINITROL 440 is used for long-term treatment and repairs on chassis and visible parts of vehicles. Protects chassis, wheel arches, inner sides of fenders as well as spoilers, bumpers and other parts of the vehicle against stone chipping. In the event that the top decorative varnish is pierced, DINITROL 440 will prevent damage to the base layer of the sheet metal and subsequent corrosion due to its elasticity. It can be used in production and for all repairs on vehicles, trailers, caravans, etc.
Application:
DINITROL 440 must be well shaken and processed before use in the can (cartridge). In the case of a spray, the contents must be shaken until the inserted mixing ball is released and even more intensively afterwards. After using the spray, it is necessary to turn it upside down and briefly spray the nozzle with propellant (otherwise it will become clogged with hardened material).
The application is also possible using the AIRLSS device. The surface treated with DINITROL 440 must be dry, degreased and free of dirt. The optimal distance of the spray from the object when spraying is approx. 20 cm. In order to achieve good protection and against abrasion and corrosion, it is necessary to apply a layer thickness of at least 1-2 mm of wet material depending on the load on the abrasion site. In areas of greater stress (e.g. wheel arches), a greater layer thickness can be applied by repeated spraying. The well-dried surface of the DINITROL 440 protective layer can be painted over with acrylic and other paint systems (after testing). Warm air shortens the drying time.
Restrictive instructions: do not apply to brake drums, drive shafts, brake pads or even the exhaust system.
