DESCRIPTION
Sikagard®-6220 S is a spray, amber colored, durable wax with very good anti-corrosion properties. It is suitable for effective protection against corrosion in vehicle body cavities due to its excellent application properties and very good final resistance.
Thanks to its very high penetration ability, it also protects hard-to-reach places well.
After drying, a brown, slightly sticky wax coating remains, which protects the cavities from corrosion.

AREAS OF USE
Sikagard®-6220 S is a spray-on anti-corrosion coating for the repair and protection of hidden vehicle surfaces such as door skin cavities, side panels, bonnets, trunks, rear fenders, sills, crossbars and pillars.
Sikagard®-6220 S can be applied without forming a mist, can penetrate the finest hairline cracks, but does not drip through drainage holes.
Sikagard®-6220 S shows good adhesion to various types of coatings, metal primers, metals and PVC without the need for thinning.
This product is only suitable for professional users. Before application, it is necessary to carry out adhesion tests with current substrates and conditions to ensure material compatibility.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
Sikagard®-6220 S is resistant to fresh water, sea water, salt solutions, oils and acids.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Preparation of documents
The surface must be clean, dry and free of rust, dust and grease. Metal substrates must be provided with the required anti-corrosion coating (e.g. steel without surface treatment, etc.).
Application
Before applying Sikagard®-6220 S, the can must be shaken well (approx. 40 times). Apply at room temperature and cover surrounding surfaces to protect against contamination. Spray from a distance of approx. 25 cm with X movement of the gun in the form of continuous spraying. Use additional drive power with a flexible hose to achieve good application quality in cavities. Use existing or drill new access points in the car body. Apply a continuous coat and do not spray on parts of the brakes, engine or exhaust system. After use, invert the can and spray in short bursts to clean the nozzle.
Due to the flammability of the propellant, ventilate the applied cavities during the drying time.

Removal
Uncured Sikagard®-6220 S can be removed from tools and equipment with Sika® Remover208. Once the glue has hardened, the material must be removed mechanically. Hands or other affected body parts must be cleaned immediately with cleaning wipes such as Sika® Cleaner-350H or another suitable industrial cleaner and water. Never clean your skin with thinner!
