PRIMER black for preparing car glass and body flanges before gluing the car glass with DINITROL polyurethane glue. It ensures high adhesion of the glued joint, prevents the access of UV radiation and is low conductive. Do not use as an activator
Characteristics:
DINITROL 530 is a black primer based on solvents and reactive polyurethanes that dries physically and chemically. It is designed to prepare a cleaned car windshield and body flange during direct glazing. DINITROL 530 supports the adhesion of the polyurethane adhesive to the substrate and prevents the degeneration of its own adhesive due to ultraviolet radiation on the side of the auto glass. It also has properties to prevent body corrosion and is low conductive. Area of application: DINITROL 530 is intended as a base layer for DINITROL car glass adhesives, where it is used on both the car glass and paint to prepare surfaces in conjunction with other DINITROL materials.
Application:
DINITROL 530 primer, like all pigmented primers, has a tendency to settle and therefore the bottle must be properly mixed before use using the included mixing ball. After homogenization, the primer should be applied with a suitable tool, such as a woolen brush or an application bottle with felt.
DINITROL 530 glass/paint primer is applied:
- - on glass that has previously been properly cleaned and treated with DINITROL 520 Cleaner-Activator.
- - on the body, where the original glue bead did not remain - in that case, the DINITROL 530 glass/paint primer should be applied to the painted sheet metal (varnish) of the body previously cleaned again with DINITROL 520 Cleaner-Activator.
- - on the body in the event that the paint has separated from the body flange or there is additional corrosion Corroded areas must be cleaned mechanically, the metal will be further treated. DINITROL 520 Cleaner-Activator and then painted with DINITROL 530 glass/paint primer.
Allow DINITROL 530 glass/paint primer to dry for at least 20-30 minutes before applying your own adhesive. DINITROL 530 must not be used to treat RIM tape or treat the original polyurethane track. Only DINITROL 540 Reactivator belongs here. DINITROL 530 is a highly hygroscopic product and the contents of the bottle should therefore be exposed to air as little as possible. Close the bottle with at least one cap during work and with both caps after finishing work. Store the primer in a dry place.
