DINITROL 6050 Two-component putty polyester putty

Fields of application :
Dinitrol 6050 is a newly developed product in the field of polyester sealants for repairs and enables the specialist to work safely and quickly on all common substrates. Dinitrol 6050 adheres reliably to normal steel sheet, galvanized steel sheet, hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, primed and filler coated surfaces, healthy two-component acrylic lacquers (matt sanded), glass fiber reinforced plastic parts and hard polyurethane.
Application:
Preparation of documents:
Thermoplastic paint coatings: Sand. Roughen the substrate (improves adhesion), clean the substrate well, e.g. with a silicone remover. The substrate must be dry, non-greasy, healthy and rust-free.
Two-component varnishes: Sand to a matte finish, remove dust and grease.
Galvanized sheets: Clean with thinner or ethyl acetate.
Hot-dip galvanized sheets: Clean with NC thinner or silicone remover.
Aluminum substrates: Sand lightly (due to the different aluminum alloys, adhesion tests should always be performed).
Processing:
Mixing: Mix the intensively required amount of Dinitrol 6050 sealant with the required hardening paste - approx. 2% or 3%. The red coloring of the hardening paste makes it possible to clearly distinguish the intensity of mixing.
Pot-Life:
The amount of hardener, the temperature of the material and the room decisively determine the processing time (see the table below).
Application:
With a spatula made of plastic, metal or rubber, spread it as thick as you want on the prepared base.
Cleaning work tools and implements:
After processing, immediately wash with nitro thinner, because the polyester putty is insoluble in solvents after hardening.
Drying:
Thicker layers harden faster than thin ones (exothermic hardening process).
Grinding:
After hardening - approx. 25 minutes - the surface is easy to sand. Transitions to existing varnish coatings are seamless on all substrates.
